Guilty Pleasures!!!

So I will admit it... I love the Hills. I try to hate it but whenever I watch it I am just way to into it!
I recently found out how much the "stars" of the hit show are pulling in each week:
Lauren Conrad (aka "LC") is paid $75,000 per episode
Heidi and Spencer both get $65,000 each, per episode
Audrina Patridge is paid $35,000 per episode Whitney Port: $20,000, Brody Jenner: $10,000, Lauren "Lo" Bosworth receives $10,000 and the poor Stephanie Pratt is found with $8,000.
It is almost disgusting that I am supporting this outrageous amount. Oh and most of the kids are my age and all come from wealthy families and ya know really need this extra cash to support their failing clothing lines and all.
I can't stand Lo she is such a bitch and so freaky looking, she is possibly the only thing that would stop me from watching the show... not even Heidi and Spencer's bullcrap. Audrina is so much better than her and is clearly being pushed out by Lo... so I was really happy to see that she makes so much more money than Lo... and guess who is not in all of the pictures on the website to promote the show? YA know the pictures that show up on the cover of the season dvd's??? Lo... because no one really want to see her. Ha I kind of feel a little heated right now... and yes I am talking about a tv show that is probably even scripted reality but let's not even go there because I just cant accept that!
Anyway, despite the enormous paychecks these "people" get for living their life on tv... Stephen (he doesn't have much of a choice I mean football season is coming up and relationships are full of comprimises right?!) and I will tune in to watch every Monday night!

Pasta Salad & The Rocker!

So I have been eating a lot of Lean Cuisine Paninis for lunch and while I love them so much, I thought it was time to mix it up and try something new. I had this pasta salad at a wedding and it was so good!!! You just get tortellini, cook it, put in a bowl, add some grape or cherry tomatoes, then add some Kraft Sun-Dried Tomato salad dressing (as much or little as you like), mix well and yummy!

I always feel like I talk so much but when I get on here I don't have a lot to say. Things are going well, the wedding plans are moving right along. I need to find a cake, shoes and then a dress for my mom. But it feels like most of the other stuff is worked out or at least I have a plan of what I want but it is just too early to get a move on that stuff.

Okay so I started this post yesterday but got busy and didn't finish so this is over a span of two days! Last night, Stephen and I saw the Rocker last night, it was hilarious, there were so many great lines! I was laughing so hard! I had to pee so bad and laughing doesn't help but ya know it was just one of those movies where you really don't want to miss anything so you just suffer through it, and guess what? It was well worth it! I would highly recommend this movie if you are looking for a comedy. Rainn Wilson is great, his facial expressions are awesome, well his face is just awesome! I can't wait for the Office to be back on!

I really want to get into Graphic Design, I keep meaning to research schools, but I just can't find time anymore. I have checked a couple of places out and met with a few schools, but I just haven't found what will fit me, and SLCC's classes don't seem to fit what I am looking for either. Ugh that is a little frustrating, but oh well I will figure it out. I think I will get the wedding stuff taken care of and then take that as my next step!

Oh Stephen's mom is coming to visit us in September from Mississippi! We are super excited! I can't wait to show her all the wedding stuff we have done and the place oh and she will be here when my dress is finished!! It will be awesome.

Just a stupid side note... does anyone sing the song from elementary school when you type or write M-i-ss-i-ss-i-pp-i???? I do it every time. It is crazy how things can stick with you like that! Some teachers really know how to make things stick in your memory!

Anyway I better get to work!

Pineapple Express and Breaking Dawn

Stephen and I went to see Pineapple Express last night. It was pretty hilarious if I do say so myself. It was really interesting how many different types of people showed up, as Stephen said they were very "colorful" people. I think it was a great activity for a little date night! We went to Spaghetti Mamas before for dinner, yum! I just love that place and the fact that I didn't even cook ( for you babe ;) ) Now the next new movie I want to see, is the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II! I loved those books and the first movie was cute. I just love the chance to find my inner teenage girl, it just brings me back!

Oh and to the good stuff, Breaking Dawn. Now if you haven't read the "Twilight Series" well then you are A) A boy (which is no excuse because plenty of guys like these books); B) have been living under a rock or C) are deliberating avoiding the books because there is "hype" and you just can't go with the crowd on things, which if that is the case, just get over yourself and read the books, it doesn't take away from you being independent... just do it! Anyway Breaking Dawn is the 4th and final book (little tiny tear) and it was so good, I loved every minute of it. But now having allowed myself to actually read things online about it, I am in shock at the responses. So many people hated it. Most of the reviews I have read that are negative, are focusing on the lack of moral story and the fact that this book is so different than any of the other books in the series. I do agree it is different, but it is so much better. Everything I hated about the first books, especially Bella's very immature and whiny self, have all been toned down a little bit and it is more mature than the other books! And maybe people don't like it because some pretty crazy and unexpected stuff went down and they are disappointed in themselves for not being able to figure it out beforehand. And if you are really complaining about there having no moral to the story (I am trying to avoid any spoilers here!) can you really not allow yourself to get into a book and just enjoy it? Is it really an author's job to lead your life in someway and bring about some moral insight, or to just tell a story??? I think if you want to learn something while reading a book, pick up a biography or a history book, don't read a book that is about Vampires and Werewolves, honestly. Anyway, I loved it and I feel kind of bad for the people who wasted their time reading 700+ pages to be that upset and disappointed by a friggen story when they could have been doing something so much more with their time, like finding World Peace!

I am excited for the next book I am reading, I am about 50 pages into it now, Wurthering Heights, Emily Bronte. It is mentioned in the Twilight series and I have always wanted to read it, maybe because books like that remind me of my dear friend Holly, but just have never done it! So I am glad now I am. Well I think that is it for me right now!
